  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 4-5 slices of bacon, chopped (fry additional bacon if you would like more to top)
  • 6 wheat buns, split
  • 6 leaves lettuce
  • 6 slices tomato
  • 1 package FARMER JOHN® Classic Bacon, cooked according to package directions
  • Jalapeno Ketchup (recipe to follow)
  1. Prepare grill or heat broiler.
  2. Grill bacon slices and chop.
  3. Add chopped bacon to ground pork and form into 4 patties.
  4. Grill or broil patties, turning once halfway through cooking, 14 to 18 minutes or until no pink remains.
  5. Top bottom roll with patty, lettuce, tomato and bacon.
  6. Cover with top halves of buns. Serve with jalapeno ketchup.
  7. In small bowl, combine ½ cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper, and ½ teaspoon brown sugar.
  8. Drizzle jalapeno ketchup onto Bacon Burgers.
COOKING TIP

Never press your burgers with a spatula; it squeezes out all of the juice and makes for a dry burger.
