Ham for the Holidays

Need to know how to properly cook Half, Whole, or Spiral Half Hams? We've got you covered! Follow these instructions for the perfect holiday meal.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS (Click here for the Spanish Version):

 

HALF HAM

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Remove ham from package and discard the bone guard.
  3. Place ham cut side down in baking pan and cover ham with foil.
  4. Place ham in oven and heat for approximately 15 minutes per pound until warm.  Do not overcook.
  5. Allow for the ham to stand covered for 5-10 minutes before carving.

 

WHOLE HAM

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Remove ham from package.
  3. Place ham in baking pan and cover ham with foil.
  4. Place ham in oven and heat for approximately 15 minutes per pound until warm.  Do not overcook.
  5. Allow for the ham to stand covered for 5-10 minutes before carving.

 

SPIRAL HALF HAM

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Remove ham from package and discard the bone guard.
  3. Place ham cut side down in baking pan and cover ham with foil.
  4. Place ham in oven and heat for approximately 15 minutes per pound until warm.  Do not overcook.
  5. Allow for the ham to stand covered for 5-10 minutes before carving.

 

TO GLAZE HAM:

  1. Remove ham from oven.
  2. Remove foil and sprinkle glaze over ham.
  3. For half spiral, use approximately half of the glaze packet.  For a whole spiral, use the entire packet.
  4. Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F.
  5. Place ham back into oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove ham from oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes before carving.
