So Thrilling. So Fun.
So California.

Celebrating California

Farmer John is proud to partner with LAFC to celebrate and honor LA’s community members who are making the world a better place, one block at a time!

Prime Time Games is Team Prime Time’s full-inclusion, peer-mentor sports program where TPT students coach and play alongside children with developmental disabilities. The GAMES give at-risk middle school students the opportunity to give back to their community by creating an invaluable social and recreational environment that is truly a win-win situation, with both “athlete” and “coach” enjoying benefits that last a lifetime. For many of the “athletes” the GAMES represent the only chance to participate in a “real”, structured sports program.

Farmer John and LAFC joined Angel City Sports for an adaptive multi-sports clinic, including a special appearance from LAFC’s goaltender Pablo Sisniega who joined in to play wheelchair basketball and more. A new “LA Familia” partner, Angel City Sports provides year-round free adaptive sports opportunities for kids, adults and veterans with physical disabilities or visual impairments. In addition to providing free equipment, coaching and competitive opportunities – Angel City focuses on how every individual can reach their full potential and unlock their dreams through music, art, higher education and career opportunities.

Street Soccer USA is a leading national sport-based youth and community development nonprofit with over a decade of experience creating lasting impact in the lives of our participants and their families. SSUSA(LA) provides opportunities for participants to have fun in a safe environment, become leaders in their communities, and achieve their goals on and off the field. Street Soccer USA's goal is to develop team players and community leaders and to connect them and their families to the opportunities and support they need to achieve their goals in school and in life.

Farmer John’s LA Familia campaign with LAFC proudly supports the soccer community. In year two, Farmer John continues to amplify The Bresee Foundation’s work in LA and was there to help celebrate this year’s graduating class of the LAFC Youth Leadership Program.

The Bresee Foundation works every day battling poverty in LA by empowering the youth and their families through soccer programs, and so much more.

Farmer John and LAFC defender Jordan Harvey joined America Scores LA for the last day of summer camp, filled with soccer, a water balloon fight and brand-new soccer balls and jerseys. America Scores LA is a new LA Familia partner that uses soccer and literacy programming to inspire kids to lead healthy lives, be engaged students and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. America Scores LA is committed to ensuring all children in Los Angeles have access to high-quality sports and enrichment programs regardless of income and has been making a considerable impact in the community since it began.

Farmer John and Street Soccer USA LA hosted a watch party for LAFC’s game against Vancouver. The evening included the Farmer John food truck, a live DJ, signed jersey giveaways and more. Street Soccer USA LA, which returns as a LA Familia partner for the second year, is committed to fighting poverty and empowering underserved communities through soccer. Providing programming for kids 6-18 years old, the organization has positively impacted the lives of thousands of youth and adults.

Farmer John had the opportunity to host two events with Think Watts Foundation, including a youth clinic at the brand new LAFC and Think Watts futsal court at Emerson Middle School as well as a food and water donation event, including a hot meal from the Farmer John food truck. Think Watts Foundation, the LA-based community organization dedicated to developing financial literacy and housing solutions. The organization has served and impacted almost 30,000 people in the LA community.

Farmer John is proud to sponsor the 2021 PRIME TIME GAMES℠ with Team Prime Time, an LA-based organization that provides after-school programs to at-risk middle school students. The PRIME TIME GAMES℠ allow TPT students to join their peers with developmental disabilities as mentors throughout three sports seasons in the fall, winter and spring. To kick off the organization’s 20th anniversary and the start of the GAMES, LAFC coach Daniel Guzman and player Tony Leone led warmups and drills before joining the students in a scrimmage. Following the session, the Farmer John food truck served an afternoon snack to the students as Guzman talked about the importance of working hard and fueling your body after a workout.

Wrapping up another great year partnering with LAFC for #FJLAFamilia to celebrate those making a difference in the LA community. We’ve been able to be a part of so much this year: water balloon fights, teaching kids the importance of exercise, providing hot meals to support financial literacy programs, playing adaptive sports, celebrating Senior Youth Leaders and fighting poverty through soccer. We’d like to say one last big thank you to all our partners: Think Watts Foundation, America Scores LA, Team Prime Time, Angel City Sports, Bresee Foundation and Street Soccer USA LA. We can’t wait for next year!

Farmer John is proud to cheer on the Black & Gold again this season! #FJLAFamilia
