Bacon Rigatoni in Cream Sauce

  • 7 pc FARMER JOHN CLASSIC BACON, diced
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 16 oz Half & Half or Whole Milk
  • 8 oz Frozen Peas
  • 8 oz Parmesan, grated
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1lb Rigatoni Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to directions. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
  2. Cook the Bacon in a pan over medium heat for 5-8 minutes. Place on a plate lined with paper towels. Once all the bacon is cooked, reserve the grease then add the butter to melt in the pan.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the flour, black pepper & salt. Whisk until you reach a creamy consistency and lower your heat.
  4. Add milk and keep whisking and cooking on medium to low heat until simmering.
  5. Add pasta, peas, Bacon & parmesan cheese. Mix all together. You want a creamy white sauce consistency. If it’s too thick, add more pasta water.
