BACON-WRAPPED PORK APPETIZER
Turns out, wrapping pork around pork really hits the spot.
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ (1-POUND) PORK TENDERLOIN, CUT INTO 1 1/2-INCH PIECES
- ½ TEASPOON KOSHER SALT
- ¼ TEASPOON FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER
- ½ (12-OUNCE) PACKAGE FARMER JOHN® THICK-CUT BACON
DIRECTIONS:
- PREPARE GRILL FOR MEDIUM-LOW HEAT (300° TO 325° F).
- SEASON TENDERLOIN PIECES WITH SALT AND PEPPER.
- CUT BACON SLICES IN HALF. WRAP EACH BACON SLICE AROUND EACH PORK PIECE. PLACE PORK PIECES ON SOAKED WOODEN OR METAL SKEWERS.
- GRILL SKEWERS 8 TO 10 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE OR UNTIL PORK IS COOKED THROUGH AND BACON IS CRISP.
