  • 1 pound FARMER JOHN® ORIGINAL BREAKFAST SAUSAGE
  • 1 BAG FROZEN DICED HASH BROWNS, THAWED
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 WHITE ONION, DICED
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 RED BELL PEPPER, DICED
  1. Heat oven to 400°F. ADD THE SAUSAGE TO A sauté PAN AND COOK ON STOVETOP OVER MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT until browned, crumbling the sausage with a spoon while it cooks.
  2. Transfer sausage to a mixing bowl. Hold about 1 tablespoon of sausage grease in the sauté pan.
  3. Add the onion and red pepper to the sauté pan, and sauté until cooked. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the mixture into the mixing bowl with the sausage. Add the hash browns and 2 cups cheese to the mixing bowl with the sausage and veggies. Mix everything well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, black pepper & milk. Add it to the hash brown mixture, and mix well. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and add the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the potatoes are cooked well.
  8. Remove and let it cool for 5 minutes. Ready to serve.
