Prepare ham according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and cook shallots, stirring frequently, until softened. Stir in fig jam, port, orange juice, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until jam is melted and port is slightly reduced to form a glaze.
During last 45 minutes before ham is done, generously brush and spoon glaze over ham every 15 minutes.
Let ham rest 15 minutes before serving.
Arrange on serving platter with halved fresh figs and orange wedges.
