Heat olive oil over medium heat in large non-stick skillet and cook green beans, stirring occasionally, 5 to 7 minutes or until just crisp-tender.
Add garlic, beets, and salt. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until beets are hot and garlic is fragrant.
Transfer to large serving platter or bowl.
Sprinkle with chopped bacon, pecans, and cheese. Season, if desired, with freshly ground black pepper.
Twist on a classic: For an extra sweet and special flavor twist, substitute yellow cooked beets for the purple beets, glazed chopped pecans for the plain pecans and blue cheese for the goat cheese. Recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd!
