Grilled Pesto & Ham Sandwich
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 oz FARMER JOHN® SPIRAL-SLICED SMOKED HAM
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons prepared pesto
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- ¼ cup basil leaves
- 2 pickled sweet cherry peppers, chopped
- ½ plum tomato, sliced
- ½ cup of shredded, Provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix mayonnaise and pesto in a small bowl and spread over 2 slices of bread.
- Add the ham, basil, peppers, tomato and cheese, and place the other pieces of bread on top
- Spread butter on the outside of the sandwiches
- Toast the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.
