Ham and Peas Alfredo Pasta

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta shells
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup FARMER JOHN® SPIRAL-SLICED SMOKED HAM, sliced
  • 2/3 cup half and half
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  1. Heat olive oil on medium flame in a skillet until shimmering.
  2. Add onion & garlic, sauté until tender and fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth and pasta shells; increase heat to high.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and cook about 10 minutes.
  5. Add peas, ham, and half and half; turn heat to high to bring sauce just to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to MEDIUM-LOW and simmer until pasta shells are cooked to your liking.
  7. Add parmesan cheese, season with salt and black pepper.
