  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb FARMER JOHN GROUND PORK
  • 28 oz can of crushed Pomodoro tomatoes
  • 7 oz can of green chiles, chopped
  • 15 oz can of corn
  • 15 oz can of black beans
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 cup water, more if needed
  • 6 hamburger buns of choice
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 3 avocados, halved
  1. Drizzle olive oil into a Dutch oven or stock pot over medium heat. Sauté the GROUND PORK, breaking into smaller pieces while browning the meat.
  2. Once the GROUND PORK is cooked, add tomatoes, chiles, spices and water. Let it simmer on medium heat for 15 minutes.
  3. Keep simmering, and occasionally stirring, for an additional 15 minutes. Then add corn and black beans, and let it simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes.Keep warm.
  4. Prepare your buns, add cheese slices on each and top with sloppy joe chili and avocado slices.
  5. Enjoy while it’s hot.
